Societies have a culture, the same way individuals have a personality. Culture is a cumulative learning of a society passed on from generation to generation. It is the identity of a group of people living in a particular place. The language, food, clothing, beliefs, rituals, behavior, customs, architecture and everything else that we gather from our society is culture.

Indian customs operate on the principle of moral values. When your children are exposed to Indian customs, they learn important lessons about respecting others and being honest. Such values generate compassion, which is extremely important to harmoniously co-exist in the society. Parents need to make their children understand why things are done a particular way in their culture and not just impose culture on them as rules.
